Garden of medicinal herbs

The pharmacy garden on Thuringian Pharmacy Museum in “Haus Rosenthal” shows a selection of typical plants that are native to Central Germany, are still used today for the production of medicinal drugs and / or were influential for the development of modern medicines. The medicinal plants are arranged in nine beds according to their application or medical indication and provided with the appropriate signs. Flower beds with roses and particularly attractive blooming and fragrant medicinal plants surround the herb beds. In addition, some fruit trees, shrubs and a young linden grow in the garden.
